Surely the lowest scoring match in Superstars history ended with a comfortably win over an improved Science Museum. Asked to field, Mike and Merv opened well on the stickiest of tracks. Wickets fell at regular intervals, caught and bowleds for Mike and Ken (the latter Brett Leeesque), 2 run outs, an Evison style catch from your correspondent off Ken, Raj tormented the batmen and got 1 or 2, and Mountain polished off the tail (including their opening bat who scored nearly all their runs) finishing with career best figures of 3 for 0 from 10 balls. Bowled out for 50 off 16, 'Science' were surprising upbeat in the field, and bowled very well. Progress was slow and despite hanging around and looking in control, Mark, Marc and Steve didn't score many. Duggan and Mountain came in after about 8 overs and shared a brisker but by no means brisk 35 to establish a winning position with skip Gigg coming in to tap the winning runs in the 17th. |

Thanks for not mentioning my duck! Worth noting that although Mike bowled well I noticed him getting smacked all around the ground in the "secondary match". Caspian and Byron (spellings? Sorry Mike) were showing his bowling no respect. I think Caspian may have reverse swept him at one point. |
