Ken Block Trophy
v DODGERS, 11 MAY 2010
DODGERS SEAL IMPRESSIVE VICTORY
Dodgers 154-8 (Keates 3-34, Conway 2-24) BEAT
Superstars 137-9 by 17 runs.
Under cloudy skies Barry won the toss and inserted the old rivals. Dodgers progressed well with Mike Dollin and Pete Lee in particular acoring well. Chris Mountain bowled a tight spell to get Superstars back in the game and Jeremy took late wickets but 154 looked a commanding total.
Despite a heroic captain's innings by Barry of 60 he simply didn't have good enough company to really trouble Dodgers. Mark Crabtree made 22 but got out at a key point, Sandeep's 15 not out was too late and Superstars ended 17 short and in truth were always behind rate really. Pete Lee took a hat-trick at the end to rub salt into an already painful wound!
A tough day for Superstars who were out-classed by an imposing Dodgers' batting performance.
