The match was played in Mediterranean conditions (it rains there too) and Dodgers
were asked to bat first by Paul Gaught. Skipper for the evening Gaught was in the action straight away, catching danger opener
Taylor off the bowling of Jeremy. What followed was a storm of great bowling and a thunderous collapse from Dodgers. Harish and
Chris Plume both took two wickets each, with late arrival Sandeep claiming one. Some relatively lusty late order batting got
Dodgers to a "better than it sounds" 66 for 7 in trying conditions. |

Gaught and Adam Spencer opened up and slipped naturally into their roles, with
Gaught dropping anchor and allowing Spencer to attack the Dodgers' attack. After a tricky opening spell by John Hilary (who was
not partnered by Simon Cousins as he assumed the game would be off so didn't show!) Superstars slowly but surely made their
way to the target. Gaught (17no) and Spencer (43no) got there in the 14th over. |

A wet but enjoyable day as the Ken Block Trophy came "home" for the first time. |
