Always one of the first to the bar and certainly one of Superstars
most frequent and reliable players Konrad is a firm fan(s) favourite. Claiming to have not played much cricket
prior to his Superstars career it's to his credit that he picked up the 2017 Players Bowler of the Year award
(credit to either his performances or ability to lobby for votes). |

Konrad has established himself as one of Superstar's regular opening bowlers;
utilising the swing and seam available in the often bowler friendly conditions around London. Frequently Konrad doesn't
get the rewards he deserves by keeping the better batsmen tied down at the start of the innings allowing the change
bowlers to pick up some cheaper wickets on the back of his early work, or so he says. However Konrad's ability can
often be to the envy of Captain Barry; this was clearly evident when Konrad was once taken off after taking
3 wickets in an over. Wisden 2018 is reported to have described the incident as "arguably the most bizarre captaincy
decision since Atherton declared with Hick stranded on 99"*. |

Konrad's fielding has shown notable improvement during his time with
Superstars (through volume of games rather than any specific Superstars training drill I would imagine). When the ball
flies high in the air to Konrad it is met with collective thoughts of "he probably will" as opposed to "he probably
won't" – a ringing endorsement of ability by Superstars standard. It should be noted that Konrad does enjoy posing
in the field, regularly sporting a snapback which would be more at home on the outfield of the Yankee Stadium than Abbey Rec. |

However it is Konrad's batting which continues to grab the headlines.
Often in the midst of a collapse and requiring a near impossible run rate Konrad comes to the wicket and consistently
plays the same shot to the first delivery he faces. Knowing the lengths our opposition go to research Superstars it
would be wrong for me to specify 'the shot' but it is fair to describe it as unconventional. At first 'the shot' may
have been seen by some as a bit of a party trick but Konrad has now perfected it to become both a run scoring
stroke and an opportunity to wind up the opposition bowler. |

Away from cricket Konrad continues to endlessly rotate through a seemingly
endless series of Fast Stream posts which always begs the question - "when will you grow up and get a proper job?"
A recent stint overlooking drone safety for the Department for Transport coincided with a near miss at Heathrow airport. Coincidence. Apparently. Konrad has cunningly chosen to live in west London allowing him to play the majority of fixtures home and away
turning up in his heavily customised car*. |

Konrad Chodzko-Zajko is also the holy grail for players of the niche game "Superstars
Scrabble" scoring a huge 62 points before any triple/double letter/word bonuses. |

As a relatively young player Konrad is yet to reach any of the Superstars club but he should be narrowing in on 50 wickets but around the turn of the decade. |
