Last night Network Rail beat us by 34 runs played on one of those Regents tracks where the ball keeps generally low but the odd one spits up off a length. |

Network Rail 125-8 Sandeep 1-16, Noman 2-20 and Matt 2-29 made up the regular bowlers and they all had decent figures. This gave a chance for the occasional bowlers to have a go. Steve Evison bowled more balls than anyone but every now and then bowled some decent ones and ended with 4-0-27-2. Colin bowled a couple of tidy overs 1-7 and Matt Bollington bowled a couple 0-21. |

In reply we struggled to score more than 4 an over and we didn't score a four until the 14th over. Matt Connway laboured to 23 and Gavin Bostock on debut scored 13. Only a late flourish from Sandeep with 2 sixes saw our score rise to 92 at the close. Sport England would have been proud last night as every blade of grass at Regents seemed to be used for either cricket, football, touch rugby and softball. |
