We batted first and Jay Thakrar scored a confident 28no, I chipped in with 24 and James A-P scored around 17. Ken made a golden (for the team he said) and we finished on 133-9. In reply Justice's top three batsmen raced to 80 off 10 before Jay 3-13 and the 'professor' Duggan 3-14 got us back into the game. However Justice ran out winners by two wickets with an over to spare. Paul Andrews also took a couple of wickets and ken took a great catch on the boundary. However some shoddy fielding let us down and James A-P had difficulty in positioning himself between the ball and the boundary! I had a rant at the umpire for some dubious wides so I have suspended myself, but not fined myself, for next week's games. |
