DODGERS CRUSH COLLAPSING SUPERSTARS. |

On a spongy wicket Superstars batted first and struggled with the wicket and our
own lack of ability and brains. We collapsed pretty violently at the start to 41-5 with Paul G the only one to make double figures.
The ashes of the innings were left in the hands of the experienced Steve Meyler and explosive Vijay. They built slowly but with
8 overs left Vijay exploded into action and with Steve helping out we reached 164-6 with Vijay 67 not out and Steve making 40.
Their partnership of 94 was a new club record for the 6th wicket. |

Dodgers replied solidly and although at 76-5 they must have been concerned in all honesty
they were in control of the game all afternoon except may be for the 10 minutes after that 5th wicket. Despite Superstars trying
hard and Rick Smith taking 3 wickets it never looked enough and Dodgers made it with 5 overs spare. The game was lost in the first hour. |

Superstars are now 1-0 in the three match series (with the washed out game now rearranged). |
